Livorno Aquarium

- An immersive journey into the beauty of the sea on the ground floor and then discover the world of insects, reptiles and amphibians on the first floor;
- Watch the two green turtles "Ari" and "Cuba" as they swim in the Indo-Pacific tank together with two Napoleon fish, zebra sharks and many others; and then the jellyfish, the Kelp tank and much more;
- Enjoy a splendid panoramic view from the Livorno Aquarium's Panoramic Terrace over the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago and Livorno's seafront.

A journey to discover the wonders of the sea with 3000 square meters of exhibition space with a space dedicated to tanks and one on the first floor dedicated to insects, amphibians and reptiles that houses a real reptile house.
In the large tank dedicated to the Indo-Pacific, the two green turtles "Ari" and "Cuba" swim together with two specimens of napoleon fish and zebra sharks. During the visit, there is a touch tank, two tanks dedicated to jellyfish and the important topic of plastic pollution, as well as a touch tank, a Kelp tank and an octopus tank. The visit to the ground floor ends with the wreck tank, with the reproduction of a Roman shipwreck.
On the first floor the visit continues with a space dedicated to insects, amphibians and reptiles, which houses a real anthill with leaf-cutter ants; here you can admire the iguana, the chameleon, the arrow frog, the stick insect, the horned frog and many other specimens. The structure - located on Livorno's seafront inside Terrazza Mascagni - enjoys a privileged position with a strong emotional and scenic impact. From the first floor, it is possible to access the Panoramic Terrace from which to admire the beauty of Livorno's coastline and the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.

The Livorno Aquarium, which has been recognised as a Scientific Institute, is a Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre and an Information Point for the Tuscan Biodiversity Observatory.

The facility, managed by Costa Edutainment S.p.A., reopened to the public on 31 July 2010, after 11 years of closure and restoration work carried out by Opera Laboratori Fiorentini.
