Get to know the residents of Loro Parque, the fantastic home of a great variety of wildlife located in Puerto de la Cruz. It is a place that perfectly combines a zoo and tropical gardens with the largest collection of parrots in the world , living at ease among more than 2,000 species of palm trees from all over the world. But Loro Parque doesn't focus exclusively on parrots, it boasts many other species of animals including flamingos, penguins, gorillas, jaguars and killer whales. Among the most popular animals in Loro Parque you will find the California sea lion, which will certainly attract your attention with its sassy stunts and exceptional grace and balance. These marine mammals will be able to bring out the smile of the whole family. The park is also home to a large aquarium, home to 7 different species of sharks . Go through its tunnel, one of the main points of the visit, and observe the way the sharks pass over your head, so close that you will feel like you can touch them with your hand.

Both older and younger visitors will be fascinated by Planet Penguin, the largest penguin in the world , with over 250 penguins of four different species living in an enclosure where their natural habitat has been recreated. Killer whales join the great attractions of this park in 2006, offering an unrivaled spectacle - Orca Ocean - that quickly converts into one of the icons of the enclosure, within the best installations in the world.

In addition, the park has added a new attraction, the Katandra Treetops, one of the most impressive free aviaries on the planet, where you will come face to face with hundreds of birds of different species and subspecies and their nests.

Khali and Murphy, our cute little oriental-clawed otters, are the new guests who join the large Loro Parque family. The two lively otters will amuse you with their curious demeanor and cunning.

Go in search of the most original birds and find yourself facing lorikeets, cockatoos and emus, just to name a few.

• Planet Penguin
Explore Antarctica and experience the polar climate in the largest "penguin" in the world. Real snow, a huge iceberg and hundreds of penguins await you in a world where ice reigns. The structures of Planet Penguin are considered the best human reproduction of the natural living conditions of these curious animals.

Take a seat in our dolphinarium - one of the most modern and spectacular in the world - and be mesmerized by the intelligence and skill of our dolphin family. As they defy gravity with their movements to the sound of music, children and adults alike will be surprised with a smile that goes from ear to ear. The dolphin is one of the smartest, most sociable, and playful animals on earth, so it's no wonder it's one of our favorite shows.

• Aquarium and shark tunnel
Come in contact with the magical creatures that populate the oceans and rivers of the Loro Parque aquarium. Immerse yourself in a unique underwater universe, home to thousands of different species of fish and coral. You will also find an extraordinary shark tunnel inside which you will be very close to one of the most impressive - and feared - predators in nature.

• Sea lion show
Few animals demonstrate such skill for fun as our sea lion family - you will fall in love with their fascinating tricks and great intelligence. Come see this show, laughs are guaranteed, as these playful marine mammals make fun of our trainers. This is perhaps one of the funniest sea lion displays ever.

• Parrot show
We will also surprise you with the talent and ingenuity of our cute parrots who, of course, have their show. Witness the first show that opened its doors in Loro Parque, where you will see the majestic flight of parrots very close to you.

• Villa Gorilla
The great adventure of our zoological park would never be complete without a visit to the magnificent family of male gorillas. Large windows will allow you to get closer to the tropical forests in which they live and it will seem to touch their own grass, you will have a hard time getting rid of these noble and proud animals.

• Kinderlandia
The wildest place for children is our African adventure. Designed with maximum safety for our little explorers who will find climbing areas and slides just waiting to be discovered. In this area they will be able to get on the first Orca train in the Canary Islands, and on the roller coaster that will be the joy of all children.
