Description
Founded as a fishing village in the 18th century, Dubai today is one of the most modern and popular tourist destinations in the world. It is a place that was built using the full power of the human imagination. Join our hop-on hop-off tour and we will show you how amazing it is.
Our first stop is at the Dubai Mall, the size of 50 football fields and home to more than a thousand shops and an aquarium! And when you step outside, be sure to look up and you'll see the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, which is more than double the height of the Empire State Building and one of the wonders of the modern world.
Dubai, however, is not just cutting-edge modernity. The historic Al Fahidi neighborhood was built before the oil boom of the 1970s, when Dubai was much smaller. You can stroll through its ancient streets and visit its charming traditional buildings, many of which house cultural attractions such as museums and galleries. Don't miss the gold and spice souks. They are a delight for the senses, with the fragrant scents of spices from around the world and the extraordinary allure of gold, platinum and diamonds.
Madinat Jumeirah is one of the city's tourism flagships. This huge 5-star complex may resemble a traditional Arabian city, but it is actually one of the most luxurious and premier holiday resorts in the world.
With its extraordinary mix of tradition and modernity, it is no surprise that Dubai was chosen to host Expo2020, the latest World's Fair, which has the motto "Connecting minds, creating the future". It will be the latest amazing addition to this already incredible city.
