Discover Edge NYC, New York City’s highest outdoor observatory, suspended in the sky above Manhattan.
Your visit begins on the fourth level of Hudson Yards, where you can explore a series of renovated multi-sensory installations, including Pulse, Kaleidoscope, Reflections, Infinite City, and Crystal Cave, all inspired by the unique energy, color, and atmosphere of New York City.
Afterwards, head to the outdoor observation deck and admire an extraordinary 360° view of the city. From over 1,100 feet above the ground, you'll be able to see some of New York's most iconic landmarks, including Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and the Manhattan skyline.
For an even more thrilling experience, walk across the famous glass floor and gaze down at the streets below, or look out through the sloping glass walls that offer a unique perspective of the city.
Inside the building you will also find the Skyline Bar & Café, where you can purchase drinks, cocktails and light snacks during your visit.
Choose to visit Edge during the day, at sunset, or in the evening hours to admire New York from a spectacular and ever-changing perspective.

What is there to know?
Important information
- Bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not allowed.
- Strollers must be folded in elevators and escalators.
- Only guide dogs are allowed.
- Only standard-sized bags are permitted; all bags are subject to inspection.
- No outside food or drinks are permitted, with the exception of sealed bottled water.
- Tripods and professional photographic equipment are not permitted; photography for personal use is permitted.
Tips for your visit
- The morning and early afternoon hours are generally less crowded.
- Sunset is the busiest time.
- The average visit duration is 45–60 minutes.
- You can choose whether to step onto the glass floor or simply enjoy the view.

- Show your digital ticket at the main entrance (Level 4 – The Shops & Restaurants).
- Please show up at the selected time.
- Additional Information
- Discounted rates are available on site for New York residents and U.S. military members.
- Children aged 0 to 5: free entry without a ticket.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Openings
Edge NYC is open every day of the year, including holidays.
Hours may vary depending on the season and special events.
Access is available from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm, with last entry approximately one hour before closing.
In high season, opening hours may extend until midnight, while in low season, opening hours may start at 9:00 or 10:00 and close at 21:00 or 22:00.
