The afternoon will be dedicated to exploring Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979. You'll begin your visit by strolling through the picturesque streets leading to the famous Abbey. With the entrance ticket , which your guide will provide you, you can visit this magnificent Benedictine building dating back to the 8th century at your own pace . Built in the Gothic style and dedicated to the Archangel Michael , the Abbey is home to a splendid cloister, suspended between sky and sea. The arcades of the galleries are supported by columns. The staggered rows allow for greater light and airiness. Behind the cloister, you enter the imposing refectory, where the monks gather for silent meals.
After visiting the abbey, don't miss a stroll along the streets that line the walls , which offer sensational views of the bay. The incredible panorama, which extends across the expanse of sand surrounding the rock, will leave you breathless. You can also take advantage of your time to sample some of Mont'Aiguel's specialties (the famous Breton crêpes, for example), browse the souvenir shops, attend some of the village's events, and, if time permits, visit a museum.
Departure from Mont-Saint-Michel is scheduled for around 4:30 pm, with arrival in Paris around 9:30 pm.
