Clydeside Distillery is the city of Glasgow's first new whiskey distillery in over 100 years. Situated on the banks of the River Clyde, you'll enjoy stunning panoramic water views from the glass Still House. The original building was built in 1877 and once controlled the entrance to Glasgow's famous Queen's Dock - where Scotch whiskey exports left Glasgow for the rest of the world. Queen's Dock was one of the largest trading docks in the United Kingdom and allowed Glasgow to become a major shipping city. Clydeside whiskey is distilled in the heart of the city, using 100% Scottish barley and clear water from Loch Katrine. Your expert guide will take you through the hands-on distillation process. Then comes the best part! You'll experience the development of Clydeside whiskey and discover more about the influence of the cask during the tasting distillery tour.
