Highlights

For all customers who wish to visit both museums in total freedom and at their own pace, guided by an audio commentary by expert art historians recorded in their own language.

Accademia Gallery: A total immersion in the art of Michelangelo to learn about his most famous work, the "David", and other important works of art such as "The Prisoners" and "Saint Matthew" and the "Pietà di Palestrina". The young Michelangelo sculpted the David from a huge block of rough marble in three years, creating an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty, an icon of the Renaissance model. He depicted a magnificent naked young man at the height of his physical strength, whose intense expression of strength and courage, originating from an absolute faith in God, becomes a symbol of power and invincibility of the Florentine Republic at the moment of its maximum splendor. Free time for lunch (or lunch in a typical restaurant, if chosen)

Uffizi Gallery: You cannot leave Florence without visiting one of the most famous art galleries in the world. Here you can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many others. Among the precious exhibition rooms of the Gallery, the most renowned contains the refined works of Botticelli, including the absolute masterpieces: "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus". This last painting, icon of the museum, represents the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of the Neoplatonic aesthetics of the Renaissance.
