Description
Faunia is the brand new zoo and botanical park in the city of Madrid. It has 14 hectares of land divided into various ecosystems that reflect the wildlife of the jungle, the African forest, the poles or the ocean, among many others.
It was inaugurated in 2001 as Madrid's Biological Park, but soon changed its name to Faunia. Since then, it has become one of the most attractive zoos in the country with a wide range of visitors, who can enjoy a night zoo, a Komodo dragon nursery, a small farm with exotic domestic animals, a crocodile swamp and an exclusive territory of meerkats among other fascinating options for the whole family.
Faunia also offers educational lectures on marine mammals and birds of prey and the chance to interact with seals, manatees, penguins, pelicans and crocodiles. All this adds up to the best services to make our visit an unforgettable experience.
